Shreya Ghoshal is a famous Indian playback singer. He established himself as the top singer in India. He sings for Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi and Tamil for other language films. He has sung four National Film Awards, seven Films fare Awards South, for the first time in the film “Devdas”, for which he won the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer, Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer. He was present on the Forbes list of India’s 100 best celebrities thrice in the list.

Shreya Ghosal was born on March 12, 1984, in a Bengali Hindu family in Murshidabad, Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Participated in the Rawatbhata from Atomic Energy Central School till 8th grade. At the age of 11, he won the All India Light Vocal Music Competition at the Light Vocal Group at sub-junior level. He moved to Delhi and completed his studies at the Atomic Energy Central School of the Uneducated Center. Later, he joined the Nuclear Energy Junior College to study science, but he left his newborn college and was admitted to SIS College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Mumbai, where he was fascinated by the arts in English.

In 1998, Sriram Ghosh started his career with Bengali album ‘Bandhichi’. After that album, she released several popular albums including ‘O Tota Pakhi Re’, ‘Ekti Katha,’ Mukhor Porag ‘and’ Rupasi Raate ‘. Shreya too recorded devotional songs in albums ‘Banomali Re’ and ‘Krishna Bina Ache Ke’. 

Shreya’s talent was first recognized by famous director Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she participated in the 75th Children Special Episode of Sa Re Ga Ma. Banshali’s mother was watching this show and was stunned by her excellent performance. In 2000, Banshani and music directed Ismail Darbar offered her to be the voice of Paro, the leading female character of famous movie ‘Devdas’ by heartthrob actress Aishwarya Rai. So Ghoshal made his film debut with the song ‘Bairi Piya’ with Udit Narayan at the age of only sixteen.
